Are you looking for someplace to connect and belong? FBCSZ is that place! Friendships, helping others and sharing the love of Jesus. We encourage the entire family to become involved in a ministry to help grow you in your relationship with Jesus Christ. We all have unique gifts and unique needs. Whether you are looking for a study group or you would like to volunteer in some way. First Baptist Church of South Zanesville has a ministry for you!
Volunteer Groups
We would love to have you join us as we give back to our community. We participate monthly in serving at Christ's Table. We host a produce market with Eastside Community Ministry. We participate and support the Crop Walk, SOUPer bowl, the Living Word Outdoor Drama, provide backpacks/school supplies for back to school and pack shoeboxes for OCC. Working together is a wonderful opportunity to meet needs and reach others for Christ.
Bus Ministry
We have bus drivers each Sunday to pick you up for Sunday School and church. Contact the church office at 740-452-1620 during the week to schedule your ride.
Children's Ministry
The Children's Ministry meets during the 10:00 worship service. We focus on helping our kids learn more about Jesus. We also host a variety of events throughout the year for the kids.
Men's Ministry
Monthly Men's Fellowship starts of with a hearty breakfast! The men host work days at the church and volunteer where needed.
Women's Ministry
All women are welcome to join us in our Ladies Small Group.
This opportunity helps us grow in our relationship with the Lord and with each other. Be warned, our laughter is contagious!
Missionaries
We support both local and international ministries and missionaries. In doing so we help spread the good news of Jesus Christ. We also learn about those in need around us and what we need to further do.
Pastoral Support
Our pastor makes regular visits to our shut-ins, those ill and in the hospital. He also is available to speak to about individual spiritual needs.
